Seasonal detox mode in full effect

Hey 💌

Here’s your sign to make a cozy cappuccino this morning ☕

After 2 months of feeling sick of coffee, I got my spark back once I started filling only ¼ of my cup with coffee and the rest with a bunch of gorgeous thick foamed raw milk.

Plus I always add 1 tsp of molasses for iron, a pinch of baking soda for lower acidity, and a spoonful of raw, local honey for deliciousness ☕

Below are last months faves for Cooking, Art, Reading, and Enthusiasm/ what’s bringing me joy.

🫚 Cooking: Chai oats with seasonal detox ingredients

Fall flavors naturally promote coziness and also seasonal gut cleansing.

For example: pumpkin seeds cleanse parasites and spices like cinnamon, ginger, clove, and cardamom rid unhealthy gut bacteria and welcome in harmonious balance.

🍁🍂🤎 Fall Detox Chai Oats

What you need:

- Glyphosate-free oats (if you’re not buying the brand One Degree, or from a trusted source that specifically promises to be glyphosate free… then I wouldn’t eat oats at all because majority are sprayed to the point of being severely poisonous and destructive to your health. I get mine on Thrive Market.)

- Organic pumpkin seeds

- Milk (farm fresh, raw A2 whole milk is my choice)

- 1 tbsp organic, single ingredient peanut butter

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- Cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, clove, sea salt (All to taste. I do a ton ton ton of cinnamon and then less of the rest)

- Chocolate chunks to top (Brand: Alter Eco, Classic Blackout)

With oats I always treat it like an “everything but the kitchen sink” moment and throw in whatever sounds good while I’m making it.

If you have some hemp seeds, walnuts, or cocoa powder laying around and those sounds good to add as well, do it!

To make:

Simmer everything in a pot on the stove for a few minutes, adding the chocolate chunks on top to melt at the very end. Then serve and enjoy warm or package into mason jars to eat as a quick meal on the go.

& I think it’s definitely time to revisit my chai latte recipe from last year 😍

🌿 Art: Homemade herbal hair mist for growth and nourishment

With the change in weather I’ve noticed a bit of dry flaking on my scalp, which is… not the vibe. So I ran out to my herb garden and created this little concoction.

Stuff rosemary springs, mint leaves, and a few drops of castor oil into a glass spray bottle. Boil water and pour into the spray bottle. Let cool completely before screwing the lid on and spraying on your scalp.

Rosemary: has anti inflammatory affects to soothe irritated skin, stimulate circulation, and exfoliate dead skin cells revealing a youthful shine

Mint: hydrates and soothes

Castor oil: encourages hair growth and nourishes dryness

The reason why princesses brushed their hair 100 times a day was specifically for the scalp stimulation which then leads to healthy, beautiful hair.

So spraying your scalp with this herbal mist and then brushing your hair is a powerful ritual to combat dryness and breakage.

I find this new ritual so soothing and relaxing. Plus I noticed no more flakes after the first 3 days of doing this.

🪞 Reading: Listening to affirmations by Louise Hay

When you wake up first thing in the morning, you are most susceptible to energy as you are adjusting from sleep into full wakefulness.

Thoughts can penetrate your subconscious easily at this time and affect your mood for the entire day.

Blasting yourself with powerful and beautiful thoughts during this sensitive time is a complete game changer for your mood.

It sets you up to have a day where you look for beauty and blessings everywhere you go.

Instead of letting your automatic and unconscious negative thoughts loop while you slip on your slippers and start making your coffee, choose to interrupt that cycle with beautiful messages of self love and power.

🩰 Enthusiasm: Dancer sculpt workouts daily

The woman who spends all her time enjoying her body is the one who has the most beautiful body.

It’s all about finding movement activities that bring out a feeling of pure joy and flow.

All the years I spent hating my body and forcing rigorous workouts are the same years where I physically looked unhealthiest — inflammation, bloating, excess weight, acne, puffiness…

Throwing on one of these flowy, enjoyable dancer workout videos first thing in the morning, or as a quick pick me up mid-day, or at the end of a long day is the best thing in the world for my holistic health.

Mind, body, soul… It’s all connected and playing a huge role in the way your physical body looks.

This dancer workout video is one of my favorites lately.

Okay now all this cozy fall weather has me craving chocolate chip pumpkin bread. 🎃 Will be searching for a pumpkin at my farm stand this week to make some from scratch.

What are some of your fall bucket list activities and recipes? Reply and share with me 🫶
