If You’re Not Releasing Stress Daily...

You might be showing up like this lady I saw at the lake.

For a few hot takes on emotional regulation and actionable stress relieving practices, listen to the newest episode of Cheers to Growth.

At the root of this conversation is my understanding that if you aren’t actively engaging in stress relieving practices on a daily basis… You are perpetually stressed.

Because life just is stressful.

From obvious factors like challenging relationships, unaligned careers, and busy schedules. To somewhat unconscious stress like wireless radiation, artificial lighting, consuming chemicals, and deep rooted fear.

Creating moments of actively cleansing that out of your body so that it doesn’t build up and make you physically sick or emotionally unhinged is powerfully life changing.

Because nervous system ease changes who you are.

In this episode, I’m sharing stress relieving practices that you can feel. And how they’ve supported me in becoming a woman I’m proud to be, as opposed to the ashamed and self-conscious version I used to be.

This conversation is not just a list of practices I use — Yoga, journaling, walking in nature, breathwork, and bodywork.

Yes, those are all in there BUT

I’m also sharing stories about people I’ve seen out in the wild showing off the exact emotional dysregulation that we all cringe at and maybe secretly have all done (aka lady screaming at her family at the lake for a common, normal misunderstanding and just could not let it go.)

I’m also addressing how I understand why someone would be annoyed hearing me talk about stress relief as someone who lives a low stress lifestyle.

At the root of everything I share is the power of breath and grounding into Earth.

If you can find moments to prioritize both of those throughout your day, you are in the top 1% of emotional maturity and likely resulting in the rare embodiment of an adult who is not continuing to play out their immature childhood patterns.

And I want that for all of us!

Enjoy a meal and a chat with us

My favorite time to listen to podcasts is while cooking (And doing the dishes after. It makes that task wayyyyy more enjoyable and easy.)

And with this podcast, my hope is that through conversations that I think are most important, you receive sparks of inspiration or ideas that lead to improved overall wellbeing.

While most things in life are situational and I’m not often going to say that everyone should be doing one specific thing… Where I will go against that is when it comes to cooking.

I think every household, everywhere, should be cooking and eating meals at home more often than eating out.

Cooking from scratch creates a completely different relationship with food and health and can dissolve addictions and reliance on fake food.

In sharing what I’m cooking each week, I hope you take the recipes and make them your own. If you’re lacking motivation to cook, put on the podcast and I’ll be there hanging out with you!

This week I’m feeling a Sunday Brunch vibe but literally it’s just a weekday breakfast for dinner

This one is a little sentimental to me because it’s Levi’s recipe/ creation and he made it for me one of the mornings when we were newly dating.

But of course, with knowledge, we had to make some upgrades to the ingredients 😉

Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich:

🍳🥬🍅🥑💛

What you’ll need:

- Homemade ciabatta rolls made with grain from Grand Teton Ancient Grains or another source with matched quality.

- Egg from a local farm or backyard

- Grass fed A2 cheddar from Origin Creamery

- Homemade mustard or the brand Natural Value

- from the garden: arugula & tomato

- Optional: Avocado

(Make and prep in advance) First, you must make your own homemade ciabatta rolls. I followed this sourdough ciabatta recipe.

1. Slice ciabatta rolls in half and layer one side with grass fed cheddar 🧀

2. Place in the oven to toast.

3. Fry egg in ghee on a small cast iron skillet. Flip the egg once the whites are mostly cooked. Only cook on the other side short enough to finish the whites while keeping the yolk runny. Add salt and pepper to the egg before you take it off.

4. Spread mustard to the other side of the bread. Then layer avocado, arugula, tomato slices, and finally the egg.

5. Close the sandwich and enjoy!

Episode resources:

  • The yoga class you must try first! It literally brought me back to life after my flight home from Europe and I’ve gone back to it weekly ever since.

  • The QiGong class to start with! This is a great one if you’ve never done QiGong because it explains the reason behind each action and how it’s serving to renew and restore your body.

  • Journal Prompt: Describe a recent situation where you lost your temper or felt yourself triggered? Then, try to get to the root of that moment. Why did it bother you so much? Have you experienced situations similar at other times in your life or was it completely new? How would you like to respond in a moment like this in the future?

I don’t want to link too many things at once, but if you try these and want me to send more just reply and let me know! I literally have thousands of videos I’ve saved for yoga, QiGong, breathwork, sound baths, EFT Tapping, and meditations.
