🥂 Cheers to Reframing Beauty

Ditching most beauty practices while maintaining confidence

If you believe that it’s so much more work for women to look presentable than men, listen to the newest episode of Cheers to Growth.

This week is for the girlies, the ones like younger me who refuse to be social without first:

  • “The everything shower”

  • A fresh mani & pedi 💅

  • Eyebrow appointment

  • Fresh highlights

  • Spray tan

  • Teeth whitened 💎

  • Ironed hair

  • Full face of makeup 💄

  • 10 sprays of perfume

  • New outfit

So much time, effort, and stress went into my appearance, yet, I still struggled with low confidence.

No matter how many treatments I sat through or how much money I spent on beauty products, none of it led to me feeling beautiful.

And that’s the design of the beauty industry.

Because the truth about beauty doesn’t sell laser treatments or beauty products.

The truth is, outer beauty is a reflection of what you take in — physically and energetically.

When I changed my lifestyle, I was shocked to see how many beauty practices became completely obsolete.

With less time put into my appearance than ever, I somehow feel like I look better now than ever before. Whether that’s physically true is besides the point because how you feel about yourself is everything.

If you’re finding yourself rushing to a hair appointment after a full day of work and leaving the salon feeling more drained than refreshed… This conversation is for you.

This Week’s Recipe

I love keeping this super easy snack in my freezer for an instant satisfying treat anytime of day.

The ultimate beauty snack = antioxidants + minerals

Frozen Chocolate Covered Blueberries 🧊🍫🫐

What you’ll need:

- Blueberries  fresh and local is best or buy organic frozen

- Chocolate — I use Alter Eco Classic Blackout

- Coconut Oil

- Flakey Sea Salt

Directions:

1. Place chocolate and coconut oil in an oven safe bowl. Set inside a heated oven until melted. (Or place the ingredients in a saucepan and melt on the stove. Just please no microwave, it’s so unnecessary)

2. Scatter blueberries on a cookie sheet.

3. Drizzle melted chocolate over top.

4. Sprinkle salt on top.

5. Place in the freezer.

6. After a few hours, they’re ready to try! Keep stored in the freezer and enjoy frozen.
