🥂Cheers to milk and sourdough

Why these 2 foods are the gateway to homesteading

We didn’t set out to raise chickens, plant a vineyard, or make our own wool blankets from sheep we shear ourselves.

We just wanted to feel better.

We wanted long-term health and to get off the insane roller coaster of constant conflicting health advice.

So at a time where carbs and dairy are the most demonized foods, I was surprised to find that these two things have actually been the main catalyst for my complete 180 lifestyle change.

After years of being afraid to consume store-bought bread and dairy (& for good reason) I couldn’t ignore the fact that healthy people have been eating these foods for centuries...

So I started making homemade sourdough…

And I loved how I felt, which encouraged me to then go find a local farm with raw milk…

…and things kind of spiraled in the best way.

In this week’s episode of Cheers to Growth, we’re talking about the two (very doable) first steps that completely changed our health and opened the door to the slow-living, homesteading lifestyle we love now:

  • Making sourdough at home 🍞

  • Sourcing raw milk from a local farm 🥛

This conversation is for anyone who feels overwhelmed by the nonstop conflicting “expert” health advice.

You don’t have to grow all your own food or move into nature tomorrow. You just have to start somewhere.

And sourdough + raw milk? They’re a lot more dreamy and magical than you think!

Listen now & let me know what small step you’re taking next.

Enjoy the conversation and cheers! 🥂
