Cheers to Intuition

& the only mac & cheese my kids will know šŸ§€

Hi šŸ‘‹ Jaclyn here.

The 4th episode of Cheers to Growth is out now and weā€™re going there on a highly charged topic.

It started when my husband completely blew my mind by surprising me with a session with a psychic!

Hereā€™s why thatā€™s so surprising.

When I met Levi, he was a hardcore atheist, stemming from a rejection of his strict religious upbringing.

ANYTHING spiritual was complete BS in his mind, which honestly did worry me at the beginning of our relationship.

Over time, I grew a lot in my beliefs, beyond Christianity and more in the direction of Christian mysticism. As I implemented a lifestyle that was in line with the teachings Iā€™d resonated with, Leviā€™s interest was piqued.

I moved beyond the belief that psychics, mediums, manifesters, and anyone into those things were doing ā€œdevil workā€ā€¦ And instead, I felt the truths embedded within different spiritual teachings.

So I was cautiously excited about our trip to the psychic! The way we approached it and processed the takeaways made it an overall wonderful experience.

Hereā€™s what I suggest if seeing a psychic is out of your comfort zone, but youā€™re interested:

1. Find peace in your free will.

Thereā€™s nothing a psychic can tell you that is set in stone.

If youā€™re worried that they might tell you something scary or undesired, remember, you always have the power to reroute your journey.

A psychic is simply using their strong intuition to tell you what theyā€™re picking up on from your energy. You donā€™t have to follow through with that path if you donā€™t feel good about it.

2. Be open-minded.

A psychic is just a human, tapping into the 6th sense that we all have. They can make mistakes like all of us, so donā€™t throw out the entire experience if they get some things wrong.

If you close yourself off, they canā€™t pick up on anything so itā€™ll just waste everyoneā€™s time.

See beyond the details and analyze what they might be picking up on from you to draw their conclusions.

3. Use it as an opportunity to open up deeper conversations within your personal relationships.

Make it a fun, rare date experience. Not a therapy session that you feel you need weekly.

This person isnā€™t telling you anything you donā€™t already know. Theyā€™re simply picking up on whatā€™s there, which may or may not be things that you and your partner have talked about openly.

Savor the time after the session to debrief together and check that youā€™re on the same page.

4. Tap into your own intuition.

Practice daily presence and see what intuitive visions you can pick up on.

I do this by visualizing my dream life every morning and evening as I lay in bed. Also, going on daily nature walks to connect with my higher self and journaling on any thoughts that come up that feel important.

Levi assumed it would be dumb, but left saying it was one of the best things heā€™s ever done.

So positive, so reassuring, and offered us a deeper knowing that we are on the path that we want to be on.

Enjoy the conversation and cheers! šŸ„‚

What we drank in this episode: Jaclyn: Coconut water, a squeeze of lemon, grated ginger, and a sprinkle of mineral salt. Levi: Leffe Belgian Ale

Pre-recording dinner recipe: The only Mac and Cheese my kids will ever know šŸ§€

Handmade Pasta šŸ

Make this first.

Ingredients:

- 3 Ā½ cups all-purpose or ā€œ00ā€ flour (I used from this farm)

- 4 eggs

- 1 TSP salt

- 1 tbsp EVOO

Directions:

1. To make your pasta dough, make a well with the dry ingredients. Crack eggs and pour EVOO into the well. Whisk egg mixture, slowly incorporating more and more flour until you can start kneading.

2. Knead the dough for 5 minutes. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.

3. Break pasta dough into 4 pieces and feed through your pasta maker into macaroni or rigatoni shape.

4. Boil a large pot of water then add pasta and cook for 3-5 minutes before straining.

Or buy clean ingredient pasta on Thrive Market

Mac and Cheese šŸ§€

Ingredients:

- 2 big handfuls of shredded raw cheddar

- Ā¼ cup butter

- 1/3 cup flour

- 2 Ā½ cups raw milk

- Ā¼ cup raw cream

- S + P to taste

We love going to a local cheese shop and picking out a couple of different types of cheddar and sometimes add in gruyere! Old-world style cheese made by artisans and dairy from heart-centered family farms raising grass-fed cows will completely make this recipe. Itā€™s simple which is why every single ingredient holds high importance.

šŸ§€šŸ§ˆ

Directions:

1. Melt butter in a saucepan.

2. Then whisk in flour.

3. Whisk in milk and bring to a simmer.

4. Whisk in cream and bring back to a simmer.

5. Stir in cheese until completely melted.

6. Add salt and pepper to taste.

7. Dump in cooked noodles and stir until completely combined.

Nurture your inner child ā€” guilt-free!
